Welcome! I'm so glad you are here! My name is Deanna and I've been studying and teaching yoga, meditation, and breath practices for over 20 years. I have trained with (and continue to train with) many master teachers and am offering what I have experienced to be the most effective practices. I have seen the benefits that sitting, standing, and moving meditation provides for both myself and my students. I teach simple ways to incorporate the practices into daily life. My personal practice has improved my response to stress both at work and at home. I have completed multiple certifications in yoga and ayurveda, am a certified Medical Qigong instructor, and hold degrees as a Physical Therapist Assistant and Music Educator. I combine my knowledge of Eastern and Western teachings, taking complex topics or practices, and making them accessible for all students. I am committed to empowering others to achieve their desired level of wellness. I am based in Houston, however I work with students throughout the United States in person and via Zoom.

Please contact me at DoMoreQigong@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Qi (chi) means "energy" and gong means 'work.' The two words together refer to using movement, posture, and breath to cultivate energy and awareness. The goal of all Qigong disciplines is to create a balance of life force energy (qi) to enhance the long-term quality of life. Qigong classes will help you find balance with mindful movements, breath work, and visualizations.
This varies person to person. Most students notice an immediate calming effect within their first 30 minute class. The more you practice, the more you will see results.
No special mats or clothes required! In class we do standing, seated, and moving practices. For Zoom classes you can sit on a chair, or sit on the floor; all from the comfort of your home or office. If standing is a challenge, you can also do the entire class from a chair. Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move easily. You will need access to Zoom (free!) on your phone or computer.
Please email me at DoMoreQigong@gmail.com to inquire about offering medical qigong, meditation, or yoga classes at your facility. Private classes or workshops also available.
I am currently accepting applications for the two year Restoration Program. This includes 200 hours of training with myself and with the Master Teachers from Zen Wellness. You can enroll in this program to enhance your personal well-being, or you can choose to complete the additional requirements (student teaching!) to become a Medical Qigong Instructor.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries you might have. I look forward to training with you soon!
